Concert to Save Ingólfstorg Square5. September 2009 @ 14:00
An organization founded to preserve Ingólfstorg Square in its present form will stage a concert there tomorrow. The square is a popular meeting place in Reykjavik’s city center. The concert’s aim is to raise awareness of the cause.There are plans to build a five story hotel @ Vallarstræti Street is rising. The plan entails moving two buildings across the street and into the adjacent Ingólfstorg Square. Also, Reykjavik’s main concert venue NASA will be demolished.
The concert will take place @ 14:00. Among the performers are Páll Óskar, Buff and Hjálmar.
