My suggestion for the Christmas supper is"Islensk Kjötsúpa" or in English Icelandic Lamb Soup.
Also the Song of the 40. Week, song performed and written by Jóhann G. Jóhannsson anno 1979.
This marvelous, authentic, aromatic Icelandic soup is what most Icelanders consider THE Icelandic soup, although it's not really unique. Scottish and Welsh lamb soups are very similar. This is a classic Icelandic dish, a relative of Irish stew. The fact remains, it's a hearty, wholesome, protein-rich soup that looks positively festive in the bowl when the vegetables are cut into a same-size dice: like a white-yellow-orange confetti soup. Serve hot! Bon Appetit!
