102. Song of the Week: "Young Blood" of Daisy Hill Puppy Farm

One of the bands of Jóhann Jóhannsson in the past, was Daisy Hill Puppy Farm. The band's peak was in the period 1987-1990 when they released one 7″ single (1988) and one EP named "Spraycan" (1989). Snarl Compilation Cassettes I & II, released on Erðanúmúsík Label (1987), contained 4 DHPF songs. Song of the Week is on the EP "Spraycan" & is called "Young Blood".
Music is heavily influenced by Jesus and Mary Chain, so expect a wall of noise and feedback.
Frontman Jóhann Jóhannsson has since moved on to become a respectable musician, composing music for movies and theatre. He worked with Emiliana Torrini, Marc Almond and Barry Adamson. He is part of the band Apparat Organ Quartet. And before that he played on the first album of Unun, and was the man behind the band Lhooq.
